KEDAH MARATHON 2020 (#KM2020), Our First Full Marathon and become our SIGNATURE running event designated to promote Alor Setar City & Culture, Heritage Foods and the State of KEDAH to the world in conjunction with VISIT KEDAH 2020 and VISIT MALAYSIA 2020. Featuring spectacular courses in iconic destinations, KEDAH MARATHON 2020 (#KM2020) events focus on delivering the race of a lifetime to athletes of all ages and abilities, and creating a memorable spectator experience that captures all the excitement and emotion of this inspirational sport. KEDAH MARATHON 2020 (#KM2020) opens Running race with 5KM, 10KM, 21KM and 42.195KM distance race to men and women.
The courses will take runners around the Alor Setar area. Runners will also pass along undulating roads with low rise and fall that will offer runners a more exciting running experiences and the chance to clock better times. Kedah Marathon, should be included in your running calendar because this run will be through 2 significant nations in Malaysia that are Pekan Melayu and Pekan Cina. In addition, the route will pass through Alor Setar landmarks namely Alor Setar Tower, Zahir Mosque, Nobat Hall, State Museum of Kedah, Tun M’s Birthplace, Istana Anak Bukit, Sultan Abdul Halim Airport and Nasi Royale and Nasi Yasmeen.
KEDAH MARATHON 2020 (#KM2020) opens Running race with 5KM, 10KM, 21KM and 42.195KM distance race to men and women. We will serve all participants with Heritage Foods in Alor Setar all the way. Insyallah.

Address: Lot 164 Ground Floor, Alor Setar Complex (Kanchut), Darul Aman Highway, Alor Setar, Kedah from 17 April to 19 April 2021 from 10.00 am - 5.00 pm.
For participants who choose for us to make delivery to you, delivery will be processed from 19 April 2021 in stages.
For the post, it will be processed starting April 19, 2021 in stages.

IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT
Assalamualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera.
Selaras dengan situasi semasa wabak COVID-19 yang masih membimbangkan, dukacita dimaklumkan penganjuran Kedah Marathon 2020 ditunda ke satu tarikh yang akan dimaklumkan sekurang-kurangnya 180 sebelum acara berlangsung. Bagi peserta yang tidak dapat menyertai acara ini, pemindahan bip boleh dilakukan (juka akan dimaklumkan kemudian.
Pihak penganjur terpaksa mengambil keputusan ini setelah membuat rujukan dengan Majlis Keselamatan Negara dan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia. Kami memandang serius akan keselamatan peserta larian dan pelancong yang akan membanjiri Bandaraya Alor Setar pada hari tersebut selain dari keselamatan dan kesihatan peserta semasa proses latihan dijalankan.
Marilah kita sama-sama berdoa supaya wabak pandemic COVID-19 ini berakhir dalam masa terdekat dan kita dapat kembali menjalani rutin harian seperti biasa. Kami masih berharap agar agar acara ini dapat dilaksanakan pada tahun ini juga memandangkan pihak penganjur telah menyediakan hadiah seperti kit larian, pingat dan sebagainya.
Sekiranya acara ini tidak dapat dilansungkan pada 2020, kami akan melaksanakan Kedah Marathon pada 2021. Kami mengucapkan jutaan terima kasih kepada semua peserta yang berdaftar dalam acara ini.

Thank you for your support and faithfully awaiting the latest status of Kedah Marathon 2020. After consultation and refining every point of view and suggestions of certain parties, it is with deep regret that we have to run the KEDAH MARATHON 2020 as a virtual event.
This event can be held anywhere near you within a radius authorized by the local authority at any time within the interval of March 1, 2021 to March 31, 2021. Your running data can be uploaded on the website www.kedahmarathon.com starting March 7, 2021 to April 7, 2021.
‘Event Tee’, ‘Finisher Tee’, Bib No, 'Medal', Certificate of Participation can be obtained at our office from 17 April 2021. For participants who choose for us to make delivery to you, delivery will be processed from 19 April 2021 in stages.
Participants who have registered for Kedah Marathon 2020 event are eligible to participate in the Malaysia Marathon League event for FREE. Please register your entry at https://marathonleague.my/ by insert you IC number at promocode. If you're having any problem on registration, do email to [email protected] and cc to [email protected].

FAQ
1. Has Kedah Marathon changed to Malaysia Marathon League (MML)?
No. The Kedah Marathon event only changed to Virtual Run (we do not know until when will be able to organize a crowded event).
The Malaysia Marathon League event is collaboration with Checkpointspot.asia where the Entry Fee is FREE for all Kedah Marathon participants (various categories). You can choose to join MML or not. If you want to participate, please fill in the information at https://marathonleague.my/ by entering the Identity Card No. as a "promo code". If it fails, please email to the admin via [email protected] and cc to [email protected]. So participants will have two VR events. One is Kedah Marathon VR and the other is MML.
2. Can I run 42, 21, 10 and 5 km directly?
Yes. You can run directly ‘1 shot’ (highly recommended within the set cut-off time). However, there is flexibility for you to spend the run cumulatively within your ability during the period until 31 March 2021.
3. Can I run on a treademill?
Yes. You can run on treadmills, football fields, public parks, housing estates, beaches, within the radius allowed according to the SOP of the local authority.
4. Is it possible to 'refund'?
There is no ‘refund’ process. All participants are eligible for event collection materials such as the date and time notified. Any changes will be announced later. For information, the status of the Kedah Marathon 2020 event is 80% progress implemented during this event is postponed.
5. Can the Kedah Marathon send an Entry Kit to the participants?
Yes. We can send you the participation kit by post.
